fair priced vet

Back and forth over the past 11 years my family has used the same veterinarian. We only use him to do blood work and health papers, while we use a different vet a number of miles away to fix things like ruptures which our current vet has no idea how to do. Its not only he does not know or care to know things about hogs he acts like we don't have a clue what is going on either. also, he is overly priced.

We have been going to many nsr and njsa shows, and as most of you know you have to have one health paper per hog. He charged us 15.00 a health paper and was enjoying his extra money, so when we went to get a health paper for Tulsa he decided to charge us 15.oo for the first hog and an extra 5.00 for every additional pig on the health paper. He also charges 21.oo for each blood test plus shipping. We are sick of paying out the wazoo.

We are currently searching for a new veterinarian that we would be life long customers to. I have heard many good things about Dr. coaler in Prague from two different families. Do any of you have any opinions of him? Thank You.
Payne Family sale

I have been by the Payne's and they have put together another excellent set of pigs. I think the set this year is probably a little deeper than last years. Don said there will be some other consignor's this year as well. Not sure on the number of head, but should be a pretty good selection. Crosses, Hamps, Yorks, Polands, Spots and I think some Durocs. Sounds like the food is going to be worth the drive whether you buy a pig or not. He said he was going to start serving around 5:30 and the sale would be @ 7:00.

Hoppy Hargus

Hoppy,

We brought that little york barrow down and he has just taken off. We are going to be up in the area on the weekend of the 14th, do you still have any of those 11 litter barrows? I am still amazed at the bone and muscle your Bruiser boar has thrown in these pigs.
